A central concern of the society in which we live is health. People are getting more and more conscious about living a healthy life. Eating healthy food is of course a great way to improve your health and stay healthy. A common misconception among people is that healthy food refers to bland and boring food that is widely available as a natural food co-op. However, healthy food is actually what you eat every day, only it is prepared in a slightly different way.

Healthy food as well as healthy eating habits is pleasant for the palate. Closer the food is to its natural state; the healthier it is for you. You can improve your eating habits by cutting down on packaged food. This kind of food, although convenient, is filled with preservatives and artificial ingredients. Healthy food can be convenient too, once you get into the habit of preparing them.

It is very easy and inexpensive to prepare and eat healthy food. Here is an example: grill some lean hamburger patties until they are well cooked. Once this is done, place the patties on whole grain all natural hamburger buns. The burgers can be served with a tossed salad as well as a side of steamed green beans. Follow it up by serving fresh fruit for dessert. This entire meal can be prepared within half an hour and includes a variety of healthy food.

Grilling lean meat, fish, or chicken does not take a long time. While the meat cooks, you can easily toss up a salad of greens and vegetables. You can also round out the meal by using frozen or fresh vegetables. You can bring in variety into your meals by using healthy foods that you have never tasted before. Be sure to check the produce section of the local grocer, which will be stocked with a whole range of exotic fruits and vegetables. Some produce sections also offer recipes on how to cook the vegetables with which you are not familiar. This is a great way to introduce your children to healthy foods. You can also experiment with fresh herbs that can add new flavors to your meal.

Preparing healthy food on a regular basis will help you to make fast healthy nutritious meals. If you get the time, try using healthy food in exotic recipes. Healthy food can be prepared before hand and frozen it for later use. When you prepare your own frozen food, you can be absolutely sure that there are no artificial additives or preservatives.

Encourage your children to get involved in the preparation of healthy foods. This will create time for you so that can share with them. Eating healthy food does not cost you much of your time or money and most certainly, it is a better option for you.

Seaweed vitamins and minerals are components of a new-and-improved super-successful formula, Super Sea Veg manufactured by FarmaSea Health LLC, a company started by Scott Kennedy in 1985. Having witnessed his multiple-sclerosis-stricken mother move to remission within 90 days of consuming a seaweed-based supplement, Kennedy began to research the value of seaweed vitamins under his mentor, the late Dr. Joseph Wachter, Jr. As a result of his work with Dr. Wachter, he was privy to a large body of research on seaweed vitamins, that had been accumulated by the Wachter Family.

Using vitamins and minerals from 12 seaweed species, Super Sea Veg has been known to help with a number of diseases and conditions, including diabetes, cholesterol plaques, and blood pressure. Through the power of seaweed, this vitamin and mineral supplement can also help increase metabolism, boost energy, clear the body of toxins and heavy metals, and repair corroded arteries, veins, and heart tissue.

In other words, through the power of seaweed vitamins and minerals, Super Sea Veg has succeeded where major brand multi-vitamins have failed. This has been proven not only by its success in dealing with the conditions listed above, but also by the increase in major diseases among consumers of major brand multi-vitamins in the past 60 years.

The advantages of Super Sea Veg, however, go beyond its success and the failure of multi-vitamins. Being 100% organic plant-based, these capsules, rich in seaweed vitamins and minerals, can be consumed by anyone including children, mothers, and seniors.

Compared to fish-oil supplements, these seaweed vitamin and mineral capsules have the advantage of coming from a source which does not absorb pollution and, in fact, often gets rid of it. Furthermore, the ability of Super Sea Veg capsules to regenerate the cells of the human body makes them more than mere supplements. Indeed, they can be considered a food by themselves; a vital part of a good diet.

In addition, these capsules are quickly absorbed in the stomach and used up immediately.

While major-brand multi-vitamins, with their chemical components, are designed to make their consumers feel better, Super Sea Veg capsules with their 100% natural vitamins and minerals derived from the goodness of seaweed ensure that those who use them never have to feel better. Through the natural wonders that they contain, the body and mind remain clear, strong, and functional at all times.

The seaweed vitamins and minerals of Super Sea Veg minimise incidences of illness and ensure long-term good health, while helping the cells tolerate and eliminate the more than 75000 chemicals created in the past 100 years, which are found everywhere.

Super Sea Veg capsules have been tested for pollution. Every batch is tested for safety, efficacy, and the presence of heavy metals, chemicals, and bad bacteria. Also the seaweed which provides Super Sea Veg with their high vitamin and mineral content, come from non-polluted waters off the pristine coast of Ireland.

There is no such thing as a -medical spa- in Florida. True! They are not uniquely licensed. In fact, they are usually not licensed at all because (1) they are owned and operated by licensed healthcare professionals, and/or (2) they do not file claims for reimbursement with health insurers. And they are not a regulated entity.

What then is a -medical spa-? It’s simply a place where people receive traditional spa services (e.g. facials), plus many other medical procedures, typically focused on cosmetic services (e.g. hair removal, Botox). It’s -medical- because of the nature of the services provided. It’s -medical- because (ideally) physician supervision is woven into the business model.

The trickiest part of medical spas for owners/operators is ensuring just two things: (1) that the professionals providing the services are doing so in a manner that doesn’t violate their licenses, and (2) those professionals have proper physician supervision. Each licensed person who typically works in a med spa is bound by statutes and regulations that govern what they can do and the degree (if any) of physician supervision required. The -scope of practice- regs applicable to PAs are different that those which apply to NPs or MAs for instance. The level of physician supervision is dictated not only by the license of the supervised professional, but also what the professional is doing. Rest assured, however, that the belief that such -formal- things do not apply because the patients pay in cash is not only untrue, but also a recipe for being shut down and prosecuted.

Other big challenges for med spas tend to be-

?Fee splitting arising in connection with how the professionals are paid (especially when they are paid on a percentage of collections basis)

?The Florida Patient Self Referral Act, which in part may limit to 50% the amount of physician ownership if the physician is in a position to refer to the med spa.

Regulatory scrutiny can be expected to increase in coming years, especially as the media shines light on client injuries (typically burns from laser services) and the scope of services expands to include things like hormone replacement therapy (HRT), which traditionally involves telemedicine related issues. Med spa owners would do well to take seriously the many intricate (and disconnected) regs applicable to the licensed professionals who work in med spas and the physicians who supervise them.

The prostate is a walnut shaped gland found in almost all male mammals. In human beings, it forms a very important part of the male reproductive system as it is primarily responsible for the production of semen. It is situated just below the bladder, surrounding the urethra in a circular fashion. The prostate gland requires the male hormone “testosterone” for proper functioning and regulation.

With advancing age, testosterone production tends to decrease gradually; leading to the various problems associated with the prostate gland. Moreover, the prostate gland can be adversely affected by various factors like obesity, improper diet and pollution etc. The common problems associated with the prostate gland are detailed below.

    1. Benign prostatic hyperplasia: BPH normally affects men older than fifty. It involves enlargement of the prostate gland making urination difficult and painful. In severe cases urination stops completely.

    2. Prostatitis: Inflation of the prostate gland is called prostatitis. It varies in severity; with the more severe cases being treated with antibiotics.

    3. Prostate cancer: Prostate cancer is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths annually. It is rarely diagnosed early as it is asymptomatic in the initial stages.

As the saying goes, preventing the above mentioned problems is much easier and safer then trying to cure them. According to experts, adequate intake of fluids, regular exercise and a wholesome vitamin rich diet are the sure-fire ways to maintain optimal prostate health.

Vitamins or vital amines are organic compounds which help the body in various ways, viz. convert food into energy, regulate the immune system, ensure bone strength etc. The specific prostate vitamins that help keep the prostate gland healthy are detailed below.

    1. Vitamin E: Studies have shown that regular supplementation with vitamin E in its alpha tocopherol form, significantly reduces the risk of prostate cancer. It is a major anti-oxidant which delays cell death due to toxicity and oxidation. Vitamin E naturally occurs mainly in vegetable oils, leafy vegetables like spinach and dairy products.

    2. Vitamin C: It protects the prostate gland from microbial infections. Regular consumption of foods containing vitamin C goes a long way in preserving overall prostate health. Since vitamin C has diuretic properties, it helps ease urination in BPH patients. It mainly occurs in citrus fruits, leafy vegetables, animal livers and dairy products.

    3. Vitamin K2: A recent Japanese study has shown that daily supplementation with vitamin K2 (menaquinone) cuts the risk of prostate cancer by 35%. Vitamin K2 is found in most dairy and meat products.

In conclusion, eating a balanced and healthy diet containing all the above mentioned vitamins on a regular basis is the most logical and convenient way to keep the prostate healthy.

The medical industry is comprised of many divisions and sections which all work together to offer patients a positive experience. This is true whether services are provided through an emergency care center, doctor’s office or any of the many types of medical help offices available. While many will focus on procedures performed at various hospitals and treatment centers, medical service administrative functions are equally as important, including hospital billing.

Hospital billing brings together charges based upon patient stays or procedures performed at a hospital. By coordinating with doctors’ offices throughout the community, this financial department can ensure a smooth relationship between doctors and patients. Because the medical billing process can be complicated, it is important for all entities involved to check information and avoid any discrepancies the patient might find.

While many hospitals employ their own accounting departments, the practice of outsourcing accounting services has risen over the years. This practice can save money while offering a more streamlined process to keep errors to a minimum. Outside sources work hard to provide state-of-the-art technology that can keep transaction costs down while eliminating problems such as fraud. Finding a service that can balance the complexity of a medical network can be a cost saving option that is valuable in economic down times.

In order to maintain a smooth accounting process, doctors should be willing to coordinate their own billing practices with the medical community. If they choose not to participate, errors might occur due to inconsistencies between accounting sources. Doctors should consider being on the same system as community hospitals in order to experience the best value for money invested.

Many healthcare practice management companies exist to provide integrated accounts receivable services for medical communities. Offering professional services with highly experienced staff and management, they often provide a group package at considerable savings that can encompass the entire community’s needs for consistent accounting and collections. Through proven success with the companies they represent, healthcare billing services enable doctors and medical services to focus on their patients’ needs and provide excellent health care.

Medical accounts receivable services will cover all aspects of hospital billing. This includes insurance transactions and follow-up as well as self-pay with follow-up and third-party payments. All aspects of the process will be scrutinized and followed through so that patients can enjoy a more relaxed experience at potentially trying times. Allowing for a more personal patient/doctor relationship, the right hospital billing service can work with the medical community to put an end to financial headaches while making doctors’ practices and hospitals’ procedures more profitable.

After a visit to the hospital, whether a planned visit or an emergency one, most people have questions regarding hospital billing procedures. Although each hospital may have its own procedures, some hospital billing services are provided as a general rule by all hospitals.

Upon release, the patient should receive a copy of the bill. If not, a copy of the bill will be received in the mail within a few weeks. The statement will indicate that it is not a bill and for informational purposes only.

If a patient has insurance, the insurance carrier will be billed directly for the services provided. If there is a co-pay, some hospitals will require it to be paid at the time of registration. Others will bill the patient for the co-pay after they receive payment from the insurance company and receive confirmation of the co-pay amount. The insurance company may also send an invoice indicating the amount to be paid by the patient for fees and services not covered by the insurance company.

If a patient does not have insurance, payment arrangements will need to be made beforehand for planned admissions, and at the time of registration for emergencies. Hospitals accept cash, check, money orders or credit cards. Most hospitals are willing to work out payment plans with patients unable to pay the full amount and many have financial aid services available. The admissions staff can also assist a patient in determining whether they qualify for a government-sponsored program or payment assistance program that may cover all or some of the expenses.

Physician billing is for professional services and/or procedures performed by the doctor. This is separate from the hospital billing, which is for costs such as the operating room, patients room and overhead costs. Separate bills are generally sent from the physician and the hospital for inpatient and outpatient visits. In addition, each physician, such as a cardiologist, anesthesiologist, or radiologist, would prepare and send a separate bill. These will also be processed separately by the insurance company.

Hospital visits, whether planned or unplanned, can be scary and expensive and billing can be confusing. However, the hospital has staff that is trained to help with billing questions and can respond to any issues that may arise either before or after admission. A patient should be sure to look over all invoices related to the treatment and admission to be sure that no duplicate or incorrect charges are on the statements.
